Allerdings gab es ein Problem mit kosh.net - irgendwie wurden -alle- DNS-Eintr�ge (ich denke das sind die Dinger die IP-Adressen - 130.34.58 als ein nicht-KOSH-Beispiel in Namensadressen verwandeln, z.B. kosh.net) f�r Gro�britannien, Yahoo, und fast �berall sonst (au�er einigen US-ISPs) gel�scht. Das bedeutet, wenn wir eine EMail an kosh-general@kosh.net senden, gibt es keine DNS die dies in eine IP-Adresse umwandelt und die EMail weiterleitet (ich bin kein Technik-Experte auf diesem Gebiet, also stehen die Chancen gut das die genauen Gr�nde sich von meinem Verst�ndnis etwas unterscheiden). Dieses Problem wurde erkannt, und Schritte zur Behebung werden sowohl in England als auch in den USA unternommen. Ich hoffte da� die DNS-Eintr�ge sich schon vor einer Woche �ber das Internet verteilt h�tten, aber es scheint, als w�re dies zum Zeitpunkt dieses Schreibens noch nicht der Fall. Wenn Du diese EMail anstelle der �blichen KOSH-Summaries ver�ffentlichen k�nntest, als Nachricht �ber den aktuellen KOSH-Status, w�re ich (und die anderen, die daran beteiligt sind) Dir sehr dankbar. Um zu zeigen, da� KOSH noch aktiv ist, haben wir ein paar Ideen f�r die World of Amiga 1999 in England in der Hinterhand - ein Repr�sentant von KOSH hat einen Presseausweis (oder etwas �hnliches) f�r dieses Ereignis. Wir werden die WoA99 nutzen, um die allgemeine Aufmerksamkeit f�r KOSH in England zu wecken (und international, wenn man sich die Besucher ansieht). Eine der Ideen, die genannt werden wird, wenn sich eine entsprechende Gelegenheit bietet, ist, da� KOSH und Amiga sich im Laufe der Zeit (bitte vermerke da� ich momentan nicht in der Lage bin, hierf�r -irgendeinen- Zeitplan aufzustellen) gegenseitig gut erg�nzen k�nnten, sowohl in Hard- wie in Software, da beides zukunftsorientierte Computer- Konzepte sind. Die genauen Spezifikationen hierzu werde ich jetzt nicht nennen, da die Diskussionen hier�ber nur zwischen einigen von uns in England stattfanden (durch den fehlenden Kontakt zu den KOSH-Mailinglisten). However there has been a problem with kosh.net - somehow -all- of the DNS entries (I think that they are the things that convert IP addresses - 130.34.58 as a non-KOSH example to name-addresses, ie: kosh.net) for access to KOSH for the UK, yahoo, and just about everywhere else (except some US ISPs) have become deleted. This means that when we send an email to kosh-general@kosh.net there is no DNS to convert it to an IP address and send on the email (I'm not a technical expert on this by any means so chances are the exact reasoning may be somewhat different to my understanding of it). This problem has been spotted and steps to remedy it are underway both in the UK and the US. It was hoped that about a week ago the DNS entries would propagate around the internet - unfortunately it appears that this has not happened at the time of me writing this. If you could run this email in place of the summaries that you would normally carry as a note about the current KOSH situation, myself and the others involved in it would be grateful. To show that KOSH is still active, we have a few ideas up our sleeves for World of Amiga 1999 in the UK - one representative for KOSH has a press pass (or another similar pass) for this event. We will be using WOA99 to raise general awareness in the UK (and internationally judging by those attending) of KOSH. One such idea that will be mentioned if a suitable time to do so presents itself, is that KOSH and Amiga could in the fullness of time (please note I am not able to offer -any- timescale for this at the moment) complement each other nicely both in software and hardware - both being future computing designs. The exact specifics of this I won't go into as at the moment as the discussions have been between just a few of us in the UK on this (due to lack of access to the KOSH mailing lists). If you would like further information on what has happened to kosh.net and when it is likely to be available to us again, you may want to try contacting Greg Webb - greg@gpwebb.freeserve.co.uk or John Chandler - metaljoe@snowcrash.u-net.com as both Greg and John understand the technical side of the situation better than I do.
